Reds Manager Dusty Baker said Monday that injured pitcher Homer Bailey, who has been sidelined with shoulder inflammation, will make at least one rehab start for triple A Louisville before coming off the disabled list. "Homer left today (Monday) to go to Syracuse and join the Louisville team, so he will pitcher there tomorrow", Baker said.
If all goes well in Tuesday's rehab start, Bailey could be back with the Reds and starting Sunday against Kansas City. Baker said "He possilby could have started here but we didn't want to run into adverse situations here. We want him ready, and if anything, over ready when he comes back, verses wondering if he's ready."
