Man accused of throwing automated ticket writer

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Hamilton County man is behind bars after police say he approached a Cincinnati parking enforcement officer, and threw an automated ticket writer into the street.

Charles Bylsma, 54, is charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct.

Police say the auto ticket writer, with a value of $4,500, would not turn on after it was thrown into the street.

According to the arrest report, when officers arrived, Bylsma recklessly caused alarm to others by cursing in public and continuing to do so even after being told to stop.

He was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
