Flash flooding causing trouble in parts of Northern Kentucky

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -- Storms in Northern Kentucky are causing creeks to rise out of their banks Boone County.

Heavy rains and rising water created several nasty situations  in  some parts of Northern Kentucky. Boone County emergency crews received numerous calls from residences and businesses regarding the flash flooding.

FOX19 spoke with Darrell Caldwell and he tells us that the flooding in his basement only took 15 minutes, but cause possibly thousands of dollars in damages.

On ZigZag Road in Boone County, one vehicle drove into high waters and two occupants had to be rescued. The pair is expected to be okay.

ZigZag Road is off Route 18 between Florence and Burlington.
