Is Conference Shakeup Starting Now?

It's been talked about for years and it sounds more and more like college athletics' major conferences will change soon.  Multiple reports say the University of Nebraska has decided to accept an invitation to the Big Ten.  If so it would be the first step in what is sure to be a chain reaction throughout the college sports landscape.

A move by Nebraska would more than likely mean the end of the Big 12, with half of that conference ready to merge with the Pac-10.  The athletic director and school president at the University of Texas reportedly met with Longhorns coaches Wednesday to inform them of a pending move to the Pac-10 that would likely start in 2012.
