Bailey To Miss Next Start

CINCINNATI (AP) - Right-hander Homer Bailey has suffered a

setback in his recovery from shoulder inflammation.

Bailey skipped his scheduled workout in the bullpen Friday

because of soreness in the right shoulder. He said it's in a

slightly different part of the shoulder than an earlier problem

that landed him on the disabled list.

The setback means Bailey won't be activated off the disabled

list to start Sunday in the final game of a series against Kansas

The former first-round draft pick has been sidelined since May

24. He made a rehabilitation start Tuesday at Triple-A and threw 87

pitches in 4 1-3 innings, giving up six hits and five runs. The

shoulder has been sore since then.
