COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -- The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect who led them on a chase then fled the scene after the car crashed Saturday evening.
A short time after 8:30pm, Hamilton County Sheriff's officials tried to pull over a 2005 Chevrolet Impala that had been reported stolen from Cincinnati. The stop was initiated at the intersection of Highland and Kennedy Avenues.
The driver failed to stop and continued east on Kennedy Ave and several other streets. Sheriffs lost the vehicle in the area of Madison Avenue and Stewart Road , but was quickly found at Stewart Road and Ken Arbro Drive.
The chase continued until the driver lost control of the vehicle at the 7600 block of Montgomery Road, went of the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver of the Impala ran behind the house. K-9 units set a perimeter but the suspect was never found. He is described as a black male who stands between 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall. He weighs 170 pounds and was wearing black shorts.
