Edgewood school levy taken off the August 3 ballot

EDGEWOOD, OH (FOX19) - The Butler County Board of Elections voted on Monday that a local school did not have enough votes to certify their application for a levy on the August 3 ballot.

Election officials said that the Edgewood City Schools did not have the proper voting majority when it approved a substitute renewal tax issue during its public vote after the May 4 election. Edgewood officials tried to make a case for keeping the levy on the ballot anyways, but they were unsuccessful.

Three out of four members of the board voted against the levy making it onto the ballot.
