FOX19 Meteorologist Frank Marzullo Says:

At this point SEVERE WEATHER is not a huge expectation today, however periods of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms possible. Earlier rain this morning stayed north of Cincinnati and fizzled out. However, a line of rain and thunderstorms that has moved out of Indianapolis, as broken up a bit, but we still look for rain and isolated steady rain moving through the area right now west to east. This area of rainfall has put down 1 to 2 inches of water through Indiana. While a strong gust or roll of thunder is possible, our main problem will be the rainfall.

Then expect a break into afternoon with temperatures into the upper 80's with the Heat Emergency still in effect. However, a pop-up storm late today is still in our weather plans.

It has been a very wet month of June, with 5.63" of rainfall, this puts us 2.46" above average. So our ground is very saturated, and any periods of heavy rain could cause some quick flash flooding.

Lightning from Monday's storm is being blamed for causing a house fire in Elmwood Place.

Monday's storms were also responsible for a tree that fell on a family minivan in Mariemont.

At the peak, Duke Energy reported 55,000 customers without power. That number was lowered to 4,400 by Tuesday morning.
