HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) — The man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at her Arbor Pointe apartment in Fairfield was indicted by a Butler County grand jury Wednesday.
Courtney Haynes was indicted on rape and aggravated burglary charges. Police say the victim was asleep May 20 in her new apartment when Haynes allegedly entered the rear door around 10 p.m.,went into the woman's bedroom and woke her up by turning the light on and off.
The woman ordered him out. Police say Haynes then walked toward the door and then sexually assaulted the woman during a struggle. The woman's 3-year-old daughter was inside the apartment at the time. Haynes fled but was found sitting in a car in front of his apartment on Mendingwall Way. He remains in the Butler County Jail and his bond was set at $250,000.
