MONROE, OH (FOX19) - A pregnant woman from Middletown was arrested in Monroe Sunday night for drunk driving.
Police pulled over Audrey Frye on suspicion of drunk driving on State Route 63. When pulled over, it was discovered Frye was several months pregnant and smoking a cigarette. Frye's three-year-old daughter was also in the car.
Frye admitted to having a glass of wine with her dinner, along with smoking marijuana earlier that day.
When asked why she was drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana and smoking cigarettes, Frye told police that her gynecologist told her that it was healthy for a pregnant woman to consume a glass of wine a day, not harmful to the baby to smoke less than 6 cigarettes a day, and that it wasn't harmful to smoke just a small amount of weed.
Police arrested Frye and took her to Monroe jail. Her daughter was taken by a family member.
