COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A second man has pleaded guilty in the murder of a Covington teenager who was beaten and stabbed to death.

Kasey Dodson. 22, admitted taking part in the killing of 17-year-old Travis White last year.

Dodson entered pleas on Wednesday to murder, kidnapping and evidence tampering. The pleas prevent Dodson from being sentenced to death had he been convicted at trial. Co-defendant Brian Golsby pleaded guilty on June 4.

Police said a 15-year-old girl, who is also a defendant, lured White to a Covington apartment where he was beaten with a large wrench, a hammer and a baseball bat. He was stabbed 29 times with a knife that broke during the attack.

Three others are also charged in the case. Two have pleaded guilty to evidence tampering.
