Brandon Phillips arrested in Kenton County

KENTON COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -- Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips was arrested after he was allegedly speeding in Park Hills Friday.

Park Hills Police say Phillips was arrested and charged with reckless driving after he was clocked going 72 mph in a 35 mph zone.

The incident happened at the 1400 block of Dixie Highway around 11:00pm.

Police say he was with his mother at the time of the arrest and no alcohol was involved.

Phillips was booked at the Kenton County Jail where he posted bond and was released a short time later.
