COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A new poll shows Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland is maintaining a slight lead over Republican challenger John Kasich (KAY'-sihk).
The poll released today by Quinnipiac (KWIN'-ih-pee-ak) University shows little change from its surveys taken in March and April.
In the latest poll, Strickland has a 43-38 percent edge.
The poll also finds that just over half of Ohio's voters give Strickland failing grades on his handling of the economy and the state's budget.
About half the voters also say they don't know enough about Kasich to offer an opinion. The survey of 1,107 registered Ohio voters was taken June 22-27.
It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
