CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A twelve-year-old girl was grazed and a 19-year-old man shot in the buttocks on Lockhurst Lane in the West End Tuesday night.
Witnesses says it appeared the suspect was trying to hit the male victim, but the shot grazed the girl as well. Her injuries were minor, and the teen's injuries were not thought to be life- threatening.
The man was seen running west in the direction of Union Terminal. One witness said they saw him get into a red car, possibly a Chevrolet, on Winchell Avenue behind the apartments.
Multiple witnesses described the suspect as a black man in his 20's wearing dark pants, a dark shirt with brown writing on it. A police dispatcher said it's not uncommon for more witnesses to come forward when a child is hurt in a crime.
Lockhurst Lane is a small street of two-story apartment buildings that runs north from Liberty Street just east of I-75.
