Good Morning
Today is Thursday, July 1 2010

A judge will likely decide today if Mark Pickens gets the death penalty or life in prison.  Pickens was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend Noelle Washington, her baby, and another child.  The jury recommended the death penalty but the judge could go either way on this one. We'll keep you posted on any new information on FOX19.com.

Texting while driving could soon be illegal in Cincinnati. The city council voted Wednesday to ban texting while driving but a city ordinance still has to be written before  council members make it official. Council members hope to model the ordinance after the Columbus law which allows officers to pull drivers over if they suspect them of texting. Kentucky already has a ban state wide.

Hurricane Alex crashed into Mexico's Gulf coast as a powerful Category two storm Wednesday, spawning tornadoes in nearby Texas. the storm forced evacuations in both countries and created big waves that frustrated oil-spill cleanup efforts and pushed crude onto beaches.

Remembering Cincinnati
