HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A 15-year-old boy charged with robbing and raping is 64-year-old neighbor earlier this year has been found competent to stand trial.

Judge Spaeth made the ruling for Alexis Ramirez Thursday afternoon.

Judge Spaeth had granted the defense's request for more time to review the results of a competency evaluation.

Ramirez has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. This is the third competency evaluation undergone by Ramirez -- two were conducted in juvenile court.

Ramirez, who turned 15 years old this week, is being tried as an adult. He was indicted on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, felonious assault; two counts of kidnapping, three counts of rape and tampering with evidence.

He will be the youngest person to be tried as an adult in Butler County.
