WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - One person has died and another person is in the hospital after a car accident Saturday evening.
A short time before 10:45 p.m., 22-year-old Joseph Rich was traveling north in the 6700 block of Kilby Road. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says that Rich failed to maintain control of his vehicle while driving on a left curve. His vehicle crossed the center line and was struck by a SUV heading south of Kilby Road.
The passenger of the SUV, 62-year-old Donna Masminster, was transported to University Hospital where she is listed in stable condition. The driver of the SUV, 66-year-old Lawrence Masminster was not injured.
Joseph Rich was also transported to University Hospital where his is listed in stable condition. His passenger, 19-year-old Kayla Webb was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials believe that Rich was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Seatbelts were not used in his vehicle.
Joseph Rich is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center where he is charged with Aggravated Vehicular Homicide. He will appear in court Monday morning.
The crash is still under investigation.
