Man crashes SUV after fatal shooting

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Police said a man crashed an SUV into an apartment building after he tried to drive away from the spot where someone had just shot him late Monday night.

According to police, the shooting happened just before 11 p.m.. on Nottingham Road in the Fay Apartments, a housing project and neighborhood off Baltimore Avenue on Cincinnati's west side.

Investigators said Terry Johnson, 21, was at the wheel in a stopped SUV with at least two passengers when someone fired multiple shots inside.  Johnson tried to drive away, but lost control.

He crashed into the front of a building, causing what appeared to be modest damage.  His passengers were not hurt.

Police said they found him dead in the driver's seat by the time they arrived on scene.

Investigators said they had not received much information about the shooting from any witnesses who might have been in the area.

Police did arrest a person who rushed the police line and attempted to fight police at the scene. Ravea Barron, 18, is charged with obstructing official business. He is also facing a drug possession charge after police found crack cocaine in his pocket.
