LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - The judge in the Ryan Widmer retrial unsealed documents that were not used by the defense during the trial.

The documents unsealed by Judge Neal Bronson reveal several things about lead investigator Jeff Braley that were not used by Widmer's defense team.

Among them, Detective Braley did not attend the University of Florida or obtain his masters from Wright State University as indicated on his application with Hamilton Township Police. Braley also lied about his experience as a postal inspector, instead only working as a part-time clerk.

FOX19 Legal Analyst Mike Allen said of the evidence, "It's very damaging...to detective Braley who will have to testify in a third trial if there is one."

Judge Bronson will hear arguments for a third trial August 3rd.
