COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - Investigators said they have narrowed down the cause of the fire that sparked at the St. Benedict Church in Covington.
Fire officials said fireworks were likely the cause for the bell tower to catch fire Monday. Crews had to drag hoses up nearly five stories or 100 feet to reach the fire.
The bell tower and choir loft suffered heavy water and fire damage. Water damage is estimated to be between $50,000 and $75,000.
Fire investigators said their is no indication that the fire was caused by anything else.
