CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Senator Sherrod Brown, Congressman Steve Driehaus and Congresswoman Jean Schmidt attended an aviation forum Wednesday to discuss the importance of the general aviation industry in Ohio.
More than 500 workers from GE Aviation, Hartzell Propeller and other GAMA member companies attended the forum at Lunken Airport. Several other public officials and representatives from businesses that benefit from general aviation will be in attendance.
The general aviation industry contributes more than $150 billion to the U.S. economy annually and provides nearly 1.3 million jobs nationwide.
The forum also address the importance of general aviation in helping to transport burn victims an others needed medical care to Ohio's health facilities.
