Stolen items website from Colerain Police sees over 11,000 hits

COLERAIN TWP (FOX 19) -- Not even one week after raiding Ohio Trade Company on Colerain Ave. and the Colerain Twp. Police department web site sees more than 11,000 hits.

That's because the department posted photographs and information on more than 800 items from the business, hundreds believed to be stolen from car and home break ins in the region.

The raid was prompted by a complaint from a man who's GPS was stolen. That man told police he went to buy a new one at the Ohio Trade Company and his GPS was there, he matched the serial numbers. But the store wouldn't turn it over to him. He filed a report with police and they started their investigation.

The owner, Tyler Young, and one employee, Joe Kist, have been arrested on several counts of receiving stolen property. Investigators also raided Young's home in Mason, looking for documents and property. They were arraigned last week.
