CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -- I-71 had finally reopened after a semi truck overturns and closed the highway for most of Saturday morning.
Around 5:15am, 33-year-old Enrique Mendoza was traveling south on Interstate 71 at the 1.1 mile marker when he lost control of his semi truck. The truck overturned in its side.
Mendoza was transported to University Hospital where has non- life threatening injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
I-71 and US 50 ant 3rd Street was closed for seven hours while crews cleaned up the area. Police say that both roads are now open and traffic is moving smoothly.
The Cincinnati Police Traffic Units is investigating the incident. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
