COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A man is in jail after he threatened a woman with a gun and barricaded himself inside a home early Sunday morning.

A short time before 4 a.m., Colerain Police were called to the 10000 block of September Drive for a report of a domestic dispute involving a man with a shotgun. When crews arrived they found a female victim running from the home. According to court documents, the victim had been dragged out of bed by 39-year-old James Burson Jr. He also threatened to kill her and barricaded himself inside the house.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team was called to the scene. After negotiators lost contact with Burson over the phone, a search of the house was conducted.

Burson had escaped before police entered the home.

A short time later Burson was found in a wooded area near the house.

James Burson was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Violence and Inducing Panic. He was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center and was arraigned Monday morning. His bond was set at $30,000.
