Man Tasered after resisting arrest

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Police Tasered a man Monday afternoon after saying he resisted arrest and assaulted a peace officer in University Heights.

Police pulled over Terrance Turner, 21, for not signaling as he was turning on Ohio Avenue from West Clifton. According to the arrest report, Turner had an open warrant for aggravated robbery.  He was told to step out of his car and face away. When officers attempted to handcuff him, he pulled away, injuring an officer's fingers in the process. He is also accused of trying to remove an officer's sidearm and pushing her to the ground.

After a short foot pursuit, Turner was Tasered and taken into custody.

Turner is now charged with aggravated robbery, assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest and several traffic violations. He was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
