CAMP WASHINGTON, OH (FOX19) - A one-alarm fire damaged the Queen City Steel Treating Company on Tuesday morning.
Flames broke out around 4:30 a.m. at the facility in the 2900 block of Spring Grove Ave.
One of the workers walked across the street and reported a fire in an exhaust fan at the plant.
Initial fire companies discovered a fire in an exhaust fan in the roof area. The sprinkler system had been activated, preventing the fire from spreading throughout the plant. An aggressive interior attack extinguished the fire in approximately fifteen minutes.
No one was injured. Damage is estimated at $5000. The cause of the fire is determined to be a failure in the exhaust fan motor.
