A Boone County Sheriff's Deputy was taken to University Hospital after getting hit with his own police cruiser on the highway. The latest on traffic delays and the officer's condition here.

Thick cloud cover and rain will keep the afternoon temperature down and the humidity up. Clearing should begin in the metro area this afternoon and reach, roughly, I-71 by 3pm. It will take until about 7 PM for Adams, Mason, Highland and Lewis Counties to clear. The temperature will make the  low 80's but with the rain it will be steamy.
