COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) has released its 2010 Northern Kentucky Bike Route Guide.
A volunteer group of area cyclists reviewed existing maps, researched newly constructed bicycle routes and lanes and complied the information contained in the 2010 guide. The last update to the Northern Kentucky bike map was completed in 2002.
"Bicycling is a healthy transportation alternative and this new bike map will help people navigate their environmentally friendly journeys," said Steve Pendery, Campbell County Judge-Executive. "This new map will make it easier to leave the four wheels parked and conduct daily activities through the power of the pedal."
The map research group evaluated the suitability of roads for bicycling and identified additional roads that could serve as useful biking connectors.
Maps are available at any bike shop or the OKI office. It's also available online by clicking here.
