CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Police have made an arrest in a self-defense shooting that involved an Iraq war veteran.
The incident occurred July 8 in the 500 block of Boal Street.
Police say two suspects approached an SUV with two men inside and attempted to rob them. The driver of the car, Marc Conyers, is an Iraq war veteran and had a concealed weapon permit, so he shot at the suspects, who in turn pulled a gun on the occupants of the SUV. The two occupants of the car and the suspects all suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police now have one of the suspects, Brandon Axle, 23, in custody. He is charged with aggravated robbery.
Axle was arraigned Thursday morning and his bond was set at $500,000.
