Michigan murder suspect arrested in Butler County

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - A man wanted for a murder that happened in Michigan in 1968 was arrested in Middletown Friday.

Nolan Ray George, 67, was wanted for the murder of 36-year-old Gwendolyn Perry. Perry was murdered in Pontiac, Michigan in December 1968.

The Butler County cold case unit had been working with Michigan authorities for the past 18 months to catch George.

George was arrested Friday afternoon at the Parkside Inn in Middletown by Butler County police. He is awaiting extradition to Pontiac, Michigan in the Butler County Jail.
