FOREST PARK, OH (FOX19) - A standoff in Forest Park Tuesday evening ended with two arrests.
Police and Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies were called out to Quailwood Drive in Forest Park at 6 p.m. on a report of a male harassing a neighbor.
Upon arrival, officers were advised of a possible wanted subject in the home who was thought to be armed with a high-powered rifle. When officers attempted to make contact with the occupants of the home, they found at least one man in the home hiding behind a television.
Repeated verbal commands to surrender were ignored, so SWAT was called in.
SWAT successfully negotiated with the occupants, and three hours later, they surrendered without incident.
Arrested are cousins Ricky Miller, 22, and Melvin Miller, 27. Both are charged with obstructing official business and inducing panic. Melvin Miller is also charged with having weapons under disability. Both of them had outstanding warrants ranging from felony to traffic charges. They were taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
