Clermont Co. man indicted in drug bust

PIERCE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A Clermont County man has turned himself in to police after he was indicted on several drug charges.

Sherman Adamson, 59, of 9 Mile-Tabasco Road is charged with Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking in Marijuana, Cultivation of Marijuana, and Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs.

He was indicted on July 21 in what police say was one of the biggest drug busts in Clermont County history.

"Two separate grow operations were found," said Rick Combs, Chief Deputy for the Clermont County Sheriff's Office. "One was located in the residence and the second was an underground operation found hidden under the garage. Agents said both operations were extremely sophisticated producing high grade marijuana."

Approximately 260 marijuana plants were recovered in various stages of growth along with approximately $7,000, eight handguns and one rifle.
