Homeless man poses as state trooper

MANCHESTER, NH (FOX19) - A homeless man reportedly tried to fool a seven-year old boy into letting him stay in his home by posing as a state trooper.

WMUR is reporting 18-year old Travis Janvrin was at a skateboard park Wednesday afternoon when he approached the boy and told him he was an off-duty state trooper.

Police said Janvrin walked the boy home to his apartment and went inside with him. The boy's mother, Nicole Anglade, was in the shower at the time and when she came out she said she was startled to see Janvrin with her son in his bedroom.

Anglade said she asked to see some identification and his badge but Janvrin told Anglade that he left those items in his truck. He then said he was getting paged and left.

Anglade called police and Janvrin was arrested shortly afterwards. Janvrin is charged with three counts of impersonating an officer and criminal trespassing.
