CHICAGO - Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's surprise decision not to testify in his corruption trial is a gamble that poses risks for his defense - but also possibly for the prosecution.

Jurors will not hear Blagojevich's side of the story, despite his attorney's promise that his client would speak.

The about-face also could force prosecutors to adjust strategy and deprives them of a rebuttal case in which they could have called further witnesses.
