INDEPENDENCE, KY (FOX19) - The Wilsons' backyard is anything but quiet when their four kids are playing outside. Two are adopted, two are biological.

Ben and Cara Wilson first decided to foster children, but they couldn't have known the first two kids they'd ever foster would wind up becoming their adoptive children.

Ben sacs he fell in love with Lauren and her biological brother we hen he first met them. They were two and four at the time.

"She greeted me at the front door and said 'Hi, do you live here?' And I was hooked," says Ben.

It's a love that has only grown these last few years, and now the Wilson's have a busy house. They say it's been so rewarding.

"Just to see the changes that they've made, and from how they were when they first came, due to prior circumstances and now how open, loving, and easy going they are," says Cara.

And the Wilson's say they are still open to bringing even more children to their family.
