"I decided to become a dentist when, at age 13, my parents took me to the orthodontist. I was fascinated by the way my teeth were becoming straighter and straighter. I thought it would be wonderful if I could change someone's life by changing their smile _ just as my dentist had done for me. I attended Blackburn College where I played basketball, ran track and majored in biology. I graduated with honors and continued my education at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. After completing my residency in general practice, I joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. I was a lieutenant in the Dental Corp and served for four years before leaving the navy to pursue private practice. I maintained an office in Mt. Adams for six years where I focused on cosmetic dentistry. I have consulted with Dr. Sayre many times over the years and I am pleased to join our two offices. I look forward to meeting you."
