JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (FOX19) - A Reds pitcher who had been sent down from the Reds to play for the Louisville Bats has been arrested in Indiana.
Daniel Ray Herrera was arrested by Clark County Police on Wednesday for public intoxication. According to FOX19's sister station in Louisville, WAVE, Herrera was arrested early Wednesday morning after a cab driver in Jeffersonville called police complaining about an irate passenger.
Police met up with the cab and arrested Herrera at the intersection of US 31 and Lewis and Clark Parkway in Jeffersonville.
Herrera was released on his own recognizance later Wednesday afternoon. Information on his court date has not yet been announced.
Herrera was sent back to Louisville on June 30 after making his rookie debut for the Reds in the 2009 season. He played a full season for the Reds in 2009, and was sent back to Louisville to make way for Travis Wood.
