CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Bengals fans can now get their Terrell Owens jerseys.
Owens will wear #81, the number formerly used by Antonio Bryant. Owens has reportedly offered a Bryant an undisclosed amount of cash that will be donated to support Little League teams that Bryant supports in Miami.
Koch's sporting goods on West Fourth Street received a limited supply of #81 jerseys on Thursday morning. Only the premiere jersey with a stitched '81' is available for $150. The replica jersey should be arriving soon and will cost $75. Employees are making a list of fans wanting to buy a jersey.
"The problem is Reebock had 81 jersey's for Antonio Bryant, so we are waiting to see how quickly they can turn that around and get them out to people," said Eric Koch.
Officials at the Bengals ticket office say fans have been buying up seats since Owens' signing was announced.
"We've been selling two to three times what we had been on a typical weekday. It's a noticeable spike," said Anthony Brown with the Bengals ticket office.
Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, a good friend of Owens', has already dubbed Owens and himself as "Batman and Robin." Owens is even selling black and orange "Batman" gear at his website, www.totees.com.
