Couple indicted for Hamilton murder

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A Butler County grand jury has indicted a man and a woman for the murder of a Hamilton man.

Leeanna Rayas and Phillip Harvey Smith Jr. were indicted on charges of murder and aggravated robbery.

Investigators say the couple beat Samuel Baez-Rosa to death with a baseball bat on July 14.

The couple was arrested a few weeks later. Investigators believe their motive was robbery.
