CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The last time Jammell Howard was arrested was on July 26 for trying to snatch a 3-year-old boy out of a Burger King restaurant in Pleasant Ridge. Not his first time arrested - try his 210th.
Julie Wilson of the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office says if you look at his record, his crimes range from having a open flask, disorderly conduct to minor traffic violations. But pretty much every incident involved Howard being under the influence.
Howard spends more time in jail than out on the street. According to Wilson, Howard was only out two weeks before this most recent incident.
"When I look back at his record, he's spent a lot of time in justice system," says Wilson.
According to Wilson, at the end of the day the sentencing must fit the crime, and if he's served his time on each offense, there aren't a lot of options left.
"We're not the first to think probably drug alcohol treatment, I suspect, unfortunately not successful and sometimes when the system tries to impose help or consequences, it doesn't work," said Wilson.
