CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Bond has been set for a man who led police on a chase, then fired shots at them and caused a standoff that lasted several hours.

Bond for Deondrea Andrews, 28, was set at $700,000.

The chase on Friday started in Sharonville and ended in Lincoln Heights when Andrews barricaded himself inside a home.

He is charged with attempted murder, inducing panic and felonious assault.

His case is expected to go before a grand jury August 16.

The woman who was arrested with Andrews, Kandace Powell, was not in court Friday. She is facing obstructing official business charges after police say she gave them false information about Andrews, telling them he was actually another man.

When the man Powell said led police on a chase arrived, he was taken into custody. Four hours into the standoff, Powell finally gave indication that the person police were after was Andrews, and not the other man.

Her case will go to a grand jury on August 20.
