CANTON, OH (FOX19) - The Bengals may have been at the Hall of Fame Game, but the crowd didn't see a hall-of-fame performance in the preseason opener.
The Cowboys slowly built a 16-to-nothing lead in the low-scoring affair, beginning with a pair of field goals, before the Bengals came back with 7 points near the end of the game to make the final 16-7.
In very brief appearances by Bengals' stars, there was little to report except a nice mid-range completion from Carson Palmer to new wide receiver Terrell Owens and an off-side call against Chad Ochocinco.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo appeared for just one series ending in the Cowboy's first field goal. Most of the game was an opportunity to see backup players.
