Fire causes damage to two apartment buildings

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A fire broke out Monday afternoon, causing damage to two apartment buildings and leaving five people without a home.

The fire started at 2319 Henrianne Court in Westwood at around 1:56 p.m. and extended to 2321 Henrianne Court, the house next door.

Forty- four firefighters fought the blaze from the inside of the buildings. It took 45 minutes to control the fire.

The cause of the fire was due charcoal from a grill smoldering on the back deck setting fire to the wood decking.

The American Red Cross is helping the five people who were displaced by the fire.

Damage is estimated at $65,000 to 2319 Henrianne and $25,000 to 2321 Henrianne Court, totaling to over 90,000 dollars in damage.

There are no reports of injuries.
