ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A Mount Washington mother is behind bars after police say she left her newborn baby and two other children unattended in her car while she shopped at Kroger.

Police responded to the parking lot of the Anderson Kroger on Monday evening to investigate reports of three children unattended in a car.

When officers arrived, they found the children, ages 7, 5 and 3 months, in the vehicle.

Officers located the mother, Alexandria Calderon, inside the store. Further investigation revealed that she had left the children in the running, unlocked vehicle for over 30 minutes.

Calderon is charged with three counts of child endangering. She was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
