FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - A home in Fairfield Township is considered a total loss after a fire broke out.
It happened Tuesday evening around 10:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Pater Avenue.
When fire crews arrived, the home was fully involved in flames. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to another structure that was about 10 feet away.
The single family home had been vacant for some time and had been declared a nuisance by the Fairfield Township trustees. Neighbors say the home was possibly used as a party house.
The home is a total loss and was demolished by the Fairfield Township Maintenance Department.
Two firefighters were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
