Ickey Woods' son; Princeton football player dies

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - FOX 19 has learned that Princeton High School junior Elbert Jovante Woods died Saturday after suffering an asthma attack earlier this week.

 Known as Jovante, Woods is the son of former Bengal Elbert "Ickey" Woods and Chandra Baldwin.

According to Princeton High School the attack happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Woods's home.

Jovante left the school at 10:30 a.m. at the conclusion of Wednesday's practice.  According to the family, Jovante began to feel tightness in his chest before he collapsed at home at about 6 p.m.

Jovante, 16,  was starting at cornerback this year as a junior on the Princeton Vikings Varsity Football Team.
