(FOX19) - An investigation into school bus vandalism is underway in two different local school districts.
Batesville Community Schools were delayed 90 minutes Tuesday morning after vandals cut the valve stems on over a dozen buses.
Bus drivers discovered the damage when they arrived to start their routes Tuesday morning.
District superintendent Jim Roberts says 16 of its 26 buses had their front tires flattened. Roberts says replacement buses were sent by neighboring school districts. He expects all the damage to be repaired by Wednesday.
School started in Batesville on August 11.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati Police are also investigating an incident where someone threw hundreds of golf balls into the First Student school bus parking lot on Morse Street.
The golf balls damaged about eight buses. First Student operates buses for Cincinnati Public Schools.
CPS begins class on Wednesday.
Anyone with information on either incident should call police.
