Sentencing for 'Pregnant Burglar' postponed

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Sentencing for a pregnant mother who took her young children along while she burglarized homes has been postponed.

Samantha Brewer, 26, of Cleves, is facing over 90 years in prison. Her sentencing was scheduled for Thursday, but a judge allowed a continuance after her defense attorney wanted more time to review her taped confessions.

Brewer has pled guilty to several counts of burglary, attempted burglary and child endangerment.

Brewer was nine months pregnant and would take her two young sons along with her when she burglarized homes in the Harrison and Cleves area. She would steal jewelry and other items.

Brewer admits she was addicted to prescription pills. That combined with the fact that her husband was out of work drove her to stealing.

She gave birth to a baby girl after she had been arrested and taken to jail.

Brewer faces up to 92 years in prison when she is sentenced later on Thursday.
