Lakota teachers get new contract

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - Teachers in the Lakota School District have a new contract.

The deal, which includes a two-year pay freeze for teachers and higher payments for premium health care plans, is expected to save the district nearly $3.5 million.

Officials saying they are now looking into a system to increase teacher salaries based on performance.

Lakota Schools start class Wednesday.
