Teen who crashed into overpass had been arrested an hour before accident

BEAVERCREEK, OH (FOX19) - A Mason teenager who was caught on cruiser cam crashing his car into an overpass had been arrested just an hour before the accident, according to police.

Beavercreek Police say they arrested Brennan Eden, 19, for Prohibition, Drug Paraphernalia, and Drug Abuse after he was found in his vehicle with a juvenile female in a parking lot near the corner of Beaver Vu Drive and N. Fairfield Road around 6:15 a.m. Monday morning.

Further investigation found Eden to be to be in possession of an unopened can of alcohol,  a trace of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The juvenile female was arrested for Prohibition and was released to the custody of her father.

Eden was cited for his violations and released. Eden was cooperative throughout and there were no indications of Eden to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest. He was released prior to 6:54 a.m.

A Sugarcreek Township police cruiser captured Eden crashing his car into an overpass on Interstate 675 at 7:15 a.m. Monday morning.

The video shows a 1985 Pontiac Firebird passing by in the median, striking a culvert on the ground and then being launched into the air. The car slams into the overpass, turning into a shower of parts.

Eden is in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital.
